Dear Team Manager:

Permit me this opportunity to welcome your team as a member of Arkansas District No. 9 of the Amateur Softball Association. Your team name, upon receipt of the ASA team registration form and $25.00 fee, will immediately become one of over 240,000 to be registered with the national office this year.

As stated in the ASA code, which you will receive in the near future as part of the 2008 ASA Official Guide and Rule Book, the Amateur Softball Association is recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and the International Softball Federation as the governing body of amateur softball in the United States. Membership in the ASA is available to organizations, teams and individuals on a voluntary basis who agree to be governed by the code, rules and regulations of the ASA.

I am hopeful this website will benefit you in the organization of your team within those policies and procedures established by the Amateur Softball Association. The material on this website should serve as a supplement to the Official Guide and Rule Book and the ASA Arkansas District 9 Team Manager's Guide and should greatly assist your team on the local level of championship play.

You, the team manager, will serve an instrumental role in solidifying the organization of this district by serving as a liaison between this office and each individual player. We appeal to each of you to familiarize yourself and your players with the rules and regulations of ASA Championship Play.

Please read the rules for ASA Championship Play that appear in the 2008 Official Guide and Rule Book. If there are any questions that you may have in regard to this publication, or the Official Guide and Rule Book, please contact this office prior to participating in championship play. Amendments to this manual may be made at the Spring Commissioners' Council Meeting conducted in early March. Any noteworthy changes will be enclosed in your Team Registration Packet as well as posted on this website under ANNOUNCEMENTS.
